Piece of Cake was founded in 1990 by President and CEO James Biniaris and today it remains a proud family business. James grew up in his family’s restaurant learning every aspect of the business. He felt most at home in the kitchen, and went on to being awarded a degree as a professional chef from the prestigious, Culinary Institute of America. James then pursued a career as chef in some of the most popular restaurants on the East Coast, from New York to Palm Beach. Before long, he developed a passion for desserts and his specialty became transforming ice cream into fabulous gourmet delights. He returned to his entrepreneurial roots and founded Piece of Cake. Now his passion and talents have created the perfect recipe for a unique company that supplies delicious desserts, which are proudly served in the finest restaurants through out the New York / New Jersey Metropolitan Area.
